This Week in Books
This Week in Books is a weekly round-up hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?
THEN: I finished She Said by Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey. It's a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the uncovering of the Harvey Weinstein scandal and the birth of the Me Too movement. You can find my full review here.
NOW: Currently, I am reading A Ladder to the Sky by John Boyne. I'm enjoying it a lot, though it doesn't pack the emotional punch of The Heart's Invisible Furies. Still, a very well written and entertaining novel so far!
NEXT: I will read The Dubliners by James Joyce next. It's a bit of a break from my usual fare, but I read it in school and hated it and the same was the case with Hemingway, a few of whose books I recently re-read and found to be excellent. I am hoping that will be the case once more. Have you read it? What did you think?
