This Week in Books
This Week in Books is a weekly round-up hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?
THEN: I read The Old Man and the Sea by Earnest Hemingway. It was a re-read for me, and I am very glad I decided to pick it up again. I really hated this book in school, but reading it again now, it had a totally different effect on me.You can find my full review here.
NOW: Currently, I am reading The First Mistake by Sandie Jones. I really enjoyed her first book, The Other Woman, and was eager to get my hands on this one as soon as I heard about it. So far, it's not quite as much of a page turner as her first book, but I am intrigued by the premise. I have a few predictions, so we'll see if this book will surprise me as much as The Other Woman. Review to follow!
NEXT: I have a stack of ARCs and a stack of books from the library. Not a bad problem, but it really puts a challenge to my indecisiveness. What to read next? I am leaning towards I Miss You When I Blink: Essays by Mary Laura Philpott, but to be honest, I haven't decided. It could well turn out to be something entirely different...
