This Week in Books is a weekly round-up hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?
THEN: I finished Mortality by Christopher Hitchens. As the title would suggest, this was no bundle of laughs, but it was very thought-provoking and well worth the short read. I need a little time to think about it before I can come up with a better review. But for now, all I will say is I'd recommend it.
NOW: Currently, I am reading Letters to a Young Muslim by Omar Saif Ghobash. It's a bit different from my usual fare of crime fiction, but this summer, I've been in the mood to break out of the genre more often. Quite interesting so far, but I only started today. Review to come!
NEXT: Just as I said, I want to read books outside of mysteries and thrillers, I think I will probably reach for Sandie Jones' new book The First Mistake next. Her first book, The Other Woman, was compulsively readable, and I'm looking forward to a real page turner.
