This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a weekly meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?

THEN: I finished Agent Zigzag by Ben Macintyre. It is gripping account of the true story of spy and double agent, Eddie Chapman during the Second World War. I don't read so much nonfiction, but this didn't feel dry or preachy, written almost like a novel. Recommended!

NOW: I am nearing the end of The Banker's Wife by Cristina Alger. I thought the first half was really gripping, but I think it is trying to bee too clever for its own good and the story is a little convoluted. I do like the multiple POVs, though, and am curious how it will end.

NEXT: I came across a book called The Wizard and the Prophet by Charles C. Mann, which sounds very interesting. It examines the way two camps of scientists view the future of mankind. Might be terrifying, but I am intrigued.
