There are many on this list i find intriguing, but I am most excited to read The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker, Melmoth by Sarah Perry, Lethal White by Robert Galbraith and The Witch Elm by Tana French. The Independent takes a looks at some of the book people feel compelled to start, but many do not finish. I have to say, I agree with some of the books on this list, particularly Ulysses by James Joyce. Which books would you add to the list?

The Guardian features some of the best reviewed thrillers in this column. I haven't read any of them, if you can believe it! But I will change that soon and pick up The Rival by Charlotte Duckworth, which sounds interesting.
