Enjoyable Book to Film/TV Adaptations

A while ago, I wrote a post about some disappointing film/TV adaptations of good books. But because I have often enjoyed an adaption, too, and because I am not of the school who claims the book is ALWAYS better than the film/TV series, I thought it only fair to compile a little list where I thought the TV series or film lived up to the book. I won't go so far as to say the former is better than the latter, but you can make up your own mind on that score. Happy reading and watching!
Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons
Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine
The Princess Bride by William Goldman
Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (*VERY IMPORTANT - the BBC version)
