This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?
THEN: I finished reading The Chalk Man by C.J. Tudor. This is a debut, and I was really impressed by about 75% of the book, but the ending, for me at least, let it down, unfortunately. You can find my review here.
NOW: Currently, I am reading The Secret Mother by Shalini Boland. It's my second book by the author, and so far, quite engaging! The premise intrigued me - a woman find a boy in her house saying she is now is mother, but she knows this is not true - and I like the author's writing style. If you are looking for a psychological thriller without being too creepy or gory, you might want to give one of her books a try.
NEXT: Because I am again on the mystery train, I think my next read will be the much-anticipated The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy. I got this as my Book of the Month for May, and have heard good things about it, so I am eager to start soon!
Have you read any of these books? What did you think?
