This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?
THEN: I finished reading The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli, which was a thoughtful, light if not quite original story I enjoyed. It was set in DC, and as that is where I live, it was fun to read about the familiar places and to envision the characters there. This book is by the same author as the better known Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, which I believe has been made into a movie.
NOW: Currently on my bedside table is The Cruel Prince by Holly Black, and yes, so far it really is worth the hype. Keep an eye out for a review when I finish.
NEXT: The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine is another highly hyped book this year, and I plan to read it next. Have any of your read it? If so, what did you think?
