This Week in Books
This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?
THEN: I finished The Force by Don Winslow and I am impressed! This is a real door-stopper just shy of 500 pages, but I zipped through it in three days, unable to put it down. The same was true for Winslow's previous books The Power of the Dog and The Cartel. You can find my short review here, but look for a longer one coming up on the blog soon.
NOW: I just started reading Michele Campbell's It's Always the Husband. I heard a lot about this book, but I'm about a third of the way in, and it hasn't really gripped my attention and the characters are all fairly unlikable. Not sure yet whether I will abandon ship...
Have you read it? What did you think?
NEXT: The Lying Game is Ruth Ware's latest novel and I have been eagerly awaiting its release. Watch this space for a review!
