Weekly Wrap-Up

June 2, 2017

TGIF! How has your week been? What are your plans for the weekend? After at least ten days of rain and gray weather, the sun is finally shining here and summer seems to have arrived just in time with June (where did May go?!) This is, of course, perfect for those of us who like little better than to lounge around outside with a good book. Last week I mentioned that I started Jane Corry's My Husband's Wife and Liane Moriarty's Truly Madly Guiltily. I finished the latter, though I didn't feel as entertained by the story of connected to the characters as with most of Moriarty's prior books. As for the former, I'm afraid I had to abandon it. I was listening to the audiobook and the narrator was just awful. I have the ebook, too, so I might give it a try again since I heard a lot of good about it. Have any of you read it? What did you think?

As for my latest haul...

I got a copy of The Light in the Ruins by Chris Bohjalian, who is an author I have been wanting to read for ages, but somehow never get around to. I also got a couple new Bookouture books from Netgalley such as Barbara Copperthwaite...

As well as Annie's Lovely Choir by the Sea by Liz Eeles, which has just the most inviting cover!

Also, I am a Book of the Month Club member and am between The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid or Sarah Healy's The Sisters Chase. I can't decide, but I only have a few more days! Any recommendations? They are both totally new, so I don't suppose many people have read them yet. There is also the option to add Elin Hilderbrand's The Identicals to the box. I have never read anything by her, but this looks like such a perfect summer read, I almost want it more than any of the the other Book of the Month options! What to do, what to do...

Hope you have a relaxing weekend!
