This Week in Books
This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?
THEN: I finished reading James Comey's hotly anticipated A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership. For the most part, I am glad I read it, but it does not earn him my forgiveness. You can read my longer review here.
NOW: I am currently nearing the end of Shalini Boland's The Child Next Door. It's a gripping mystery about a woman who hears someone saying they want to take a child on her baby monitor. After making sure her own daughter is safe and her house free of intruders, she contacts the police, which starts a gripping search for the truth behind the ominous words she heard on her monitor. The writing is good, the story fast-paced, I am really curious how this will wrap up Look for a review coming soon:-)
NEXT: My next read will probably be Rhiannon Navin's Only Child. I have heard a lot of good things about this book, and it's been recommended to fans of Liane Moriarty, which I count myself among. I hope it lives up to expectations!
Have you read any of these books? What did you think?
