This Week in Books
This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?
THEN: I finished Bring Me Back by B.A. Paris, and though I did find the final twist a little implausible, it was as much of a page turner as her previous two books. You can find a short review here. I also finished Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. It is a complicated book, but if you are interested, I wrote a longer review here.
NOW: I am currently reading Everless by Sarah Holland. I've been saying I wanted to read it for a while, but kept picking up something else instead. It sounds a little creepy, but the premise intrigues me, so I am curious how it turns out. If you have read it, what did you think? It's a debut, and though it has been getting a decent amount of publicity already, I like to read and support new authors. I just hope it won't turn out to be one of those predictable YA fantasy novels where the poor girl needs to be rescued by the rich prince, or where she falls in love with her captor (ahem...Wintersong).
NEXT: I plan on reading Two Girls Down by Louisa Luna next. I got it a while ago, and totally forgot I had been looking forward to it. have you read it? What did you think? Last week I said I planned to read The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton, and while I tried, I am afraid I had to give up after 100 pages. If you're interested to hear why, check out my review here.
