This Week in Books

This Week in Books is a fun meme hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found. In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future. What are you reading these days?

THEN: I finished The Secrets She Keeps by Michael Robotham. This was my first book by the author, but won't be my last. It was clever and very well written. You can find my mini review here.

NOW: I am currently reading The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee, which I was so excited to get my hands on after the rave reviews. I don't know if I'm just picking up the wrong books, but this one (again?!) does not live up to the hype. It is 500 pages long, and I rarely go for a book this length unless it is a classic or by a favorite author, so I was expecting something really special. But so far, it is fairly meh. I hope the ending will be clever and bump this up from three stars to four. Have you read it? What did you think?

NEXT: Blogging for Books sent be a copy of The Windfall by Diksha Basu, which has been on my to-read list since I first heard about it months ago. It sounds witty and unusual, and I am looking forward to reading it soon. Keep an eye out for a review coming soon!
