This Week in Books
This Week in Books is hosted by Lipsyy Lost and Found and is on this blog for the first time! In this post I look back on a book I've finished, highlight one I am currently reading, and one I will read in the near future.
THEN: I finally read Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi and am very happy to report it is truly worth the hype. Moving, inventive, original . . . can't wait to see what this talented author comes up with next!
NOW: I'm currently reading Last Breath by Robert Bryndza. This is the fourth book in the Erika Foster mystery series, and I have found them all to be really gripping, though quite grim. I'm about half-way through with this, and it definitely follows the same pattern as the other books, but it is still really intriguing and I like the small development in Erika''s character.
LATER: I've had a copy of Lying in Wait by Liz Nugent for a while, and firmly plan on getting around to reading it in the next few weeks. Her previous book, Unraveling Oliver was such a page turner, so I have high hopes for this one.
